Inside Matters

The theme for Wellness Carnival 2019 - ‘Inside Matters’ highlights not only the importance of physical wellness, but also on the importance of values. Conceptualised with a subtle play with words by students from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), “Inside Matters” also refers to how organs inside our body matters, and how our decisions on organ donation matter.

Wellness Carnival 2019 also unveiled the otter family conceptualised by students from NAFA. Each member of the otter family (named Olene, Owen, Olena, Oliver and Olivia) has their own characteristics and represents values of knowledge, community, care, hope and trust respectively. The characters symbolises the love and unity that organ donation brings.
A total of 18 organisations came together as one community to empower and engage over 6000 visitors at the carnival.

Associate Professor Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim (Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Social and Family Development & Ministry of Education, and Member of Parliament for Nee Soon GRC) graced Wellness Carnival.
